Fly fishing and Clay pigeon shooting

Our cast and blast days are the best of both worlds, and an excellent corporate or group activity. You can spend the morning shooting clays and the afternoon on the banks of a beautiful river, with a delicious lunch in between.

We will tailor these days to meet your exact needs. But to give you an idea of what a day of casting and blasting might look like, we have included an example itinerary below. On these days we can cater for up to 16 guests.

09:00 Clay pigeon shooting
The group are split into two teams. Everyone has expert instruction on clay pigeons over two hours - each person shoots an average of 50 shots as they warm up. The morning’s shooting and tuition leads to a team competition which always brings out the competitive individuals in the group.
12:30 Lunch
Teams leave in vehicles for the iconic River Test, where a marquee and lunch is ready for them to eat in the unique and beautiful Test Valley countryside.
2:00 Guests start fishing when lunch is completed.
Groups of four guests pair up with a fishing instructor. Novices learn how to fly fish; more experienced guests perfect their technique. Everyone fishes in the same location, so the excitement as the first (and subsequent) fish are caught is palpable.
4:00 Break for tea
There is an opportunity for everyone to have a break and catch up together as a group.
4:15 Continue fishing

As the famous evening rise starts, the guests get back onto the water for another session of fishing.

5:30 Event ends
Of course the above is just an example, so please get in touch with us so we can take all the stress out of organising your next group activity.
