Fosbury

Fosbury is a warm, family run shoot on the eastern edge of Wiltshire covering a little over 2,000 acres. The privacy and the variety both stand out with high hedges, deep valleys, hills and woods providing fantastic partridge & pheasant drives. And the shoot room is lovely; just don’t go there if you thought your last Salmon was a big one - the monster fish on the wall are amazing.

The birds presented will challenge the very best on Fosbury’s star drives. But the privacy and the variety are the hallmarks of this shoot; guns would expect to shoot in both open fields with high hedges, at the bottom of valleys, and within the mixed woodlands all providing a full day of interesting shooting.

Bob Cooke has been the keeper here for nearly three decades and runs days with a relaxed, informality unpinned by a skilful team. They only shoot 20 or so days here, and days are snapped up early.

If you are shooting at Fosbury we recommend either The George and Dragon in Hurstbourne Tarrant or the famous shooting pub The Jack Russell, in the village of Faccombe.
