teffont magna
Teffont Magna Estate is located south west from Stonehenge near between Salisbury and Shaftesbury. The estate is set in 3,500 acres of beautiful rolling downland ideal for some fantastic partridge shooting in September and has valleys topped with purpose managed woodland for pheasant shooting later in the season. The owner and shoot host is Ed Waddington and he will be with the guns on the day driving the team from drive to drive. Ed's days are well-known for superb presentation of driven red legs, greys & pheasant.
Guns meet in a charming converted barn just down the road from the main farm house. Pegs are drawn from the bottom of slow-gin glasses, and the guns travel around the shoot on the estate’s converted army lorry (It’s smarter than we make it sound!).
Teffont has sufficient variety to ease less experienced guns into the day but experts can get straight into some of the more challenging drives.
By lunch every peg will have had plenty of testing shooting, and if teams are not shooting through the last drive is always one to remember.
Teffont is a firm favourite - cracking shooting combined with a warm, enthusiastic welcome.
